Cycle and walking route connecting Harrogate and Ripley.

The Nidderdale Greenway is a 4 mile (6.4km) cycle and walking trail between Harrogate and Ripley. The route crosses the spectacular, Grade 2 listed seven arch Nidd Gorge Viaduct and passes through stunning countryside, avoiding the busier commuter routes.

The whole route is surfaced in tarmac and is mainly flat. There are some hilly sections on the outskirts of Ripley. The path continues from Ripley Castle towards Clint Bank. This section of the path is steep in sections.

Dog Walking Dog Walking
Please be a responsible dog owner. Keep your dog on a lead at all times, especially around livestock and on the moor, where there are ground nesting birds. From March to July, use a short lead. Remember to clean up after your dog.
