What is a National Landscape?

National Landscapes are designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), recognized for their national importance. Nidderdale is one of 46 National Landscapes in the UK, all protected to preserve their unique character and qualities for everyone to enjoy. These landscapes have the same level of protection as National Parks.
