Nidderdale National Landscape is supported by a variety of funders who help us protect and enhance this beautiful area. Our core funding comes primarily from central government, which provides 75% of our budget. This funding is crucial for developing and implementing our Management Plan.
We also receive support from North Yorkshire Council and apply for European, national, and local grants to fund specific projects. These grants enable us to undertake a wide range of conservation and community initiatives, ensuring that Nidderdale remains a vibrant and thriving landscape.
Additionally, we collaborate with private sector partners, such as Hanson UK, which established the Greenhow Fund to support local environmental projects. This fund helps us address specific needs within the community and enhance the natural beauty of the area.
Our work would not be possible without the generous support of these funders, and we are deeply grateful for their contributions. Together, we are committed to preserving Nidderdale National Landscape for future generations to enjoy.
