is one of a series of trails which offer the chance
to enjoy the contrasting landscapes and fascinating
heritage that make Upper Nidderdale such a special
place.

This route enables you to enjoy the remote
beauty of Scar House and Angram reservoirs, appreciate
the labours of the men and women who lived and
worked here during the reservoirs construction, and
see how innovative approaches to farming are helping
vulnerable species and habitats to thrive.

Is This Right For You Is This Right For You?
This route includes uneven gravel tracks, fields, moorland tracks and tarmac roads. Some parts of the trail are uneven with some sections being steep inclines/declines. Gates and stiles feature throughout the walk. Walking boots are advisable as some parts of the trail can be wet, muddy and rough underfoot. This is an exposed area where the weather can quickly change, so waterproofs and appropriate warm layers are also recommended.

Please be a responsible dog owner. Keep your dog on a lead at all times, especially around livestock and on the moor, where there are ground nesting birds. From March to July, use a short lead. Remember to clean up after your dog.
