At Nidderdale National Landscape, we are passionate about preserving the natural beauty of our countryside and helping landowners make sustainable land management choices. Even smaller areas of land are important, and collectively they can make a big difference across the landscape.
There are several local grant schemes and programmes available for homeowners and landowners in the National Landscape.
Farming Protected Landscapes
Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) is a Defra funded grant programme for supporting farmers, land managers and people who manage land in protected landscapes, like Nidderdale National Landscape. The aim of the programme is to help protect these exceptional places and support local communities.
Greenhow Fund
The Greenhow Fund was set up by Hanson for fund the local communities of Bewerley, Thornthwaite with Padside, Dacre and Thruscross.
Knabs Ridge Wind Farm Community Fund
Knabs Ridge Wind Farm Community Fund is a community benefit fund provided by alternative energy suppliers as part of their developments. Please get in touch with the fund directly to find out more and check eligibility
Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust
The Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust provides grants of between £250 and £7,500 to enable passionate people to run projects and initiatives. Contact directly to find out more.
