Tourism in Nidderdale National Landscape is based on the area’s natural assets or special qualities. It is an important part of the rural economy.

Our work to support the needs of visitors and businesses includes:

• Working with tourism businesses to facilitate development that meets the economic needs of rural communities where this does not cause harm to natural beauty.
• Creation of a tourism toolkit [COMING SOON!] providing images, key messages and content for businesses to download and use for their promotional work
• Enhancing walking opportunities across the National Landscape through our work to improve the rights of way network
• A promotional campaign encouraging visitors to follow the Countryside Code with particular emphasis on dogs on leads to protect stock and ground nesting birds
