This short picturesque walk around the village of Wath is one of a series of trails offering the chance to enjoy the contrasting landscapes and fascinating heritage that make Upper Nidderdale such a special place.

Along this route you can enjoy a range of different settings, from the wetlands of Nidd Marsh to the tranquillity of Spring Wood Top, take in serene views across Gouthwaite Reservoir nature reserve and see historic buildings such as the nineteenth century Dutch hay barn at Spring Wood Top farm.

This short route includes riverside paths, tracks and woodland. Parts of the trail are a little bit uneven with some inclines/declines. Gates and stiles feature throughout the walk.

Small lay-by on Low Wath Road before the bridge into Wath village.

Please be a responsible dog owner. Keep your dog on a lead at all times, especially around livestock and on the moor, where there are ground nesting birds. From March to July, use a short lead. Remember to clean up after your dog.
