Fewston Reservoir, located in the picturesque Washburn Valley in Nidderdale National Landscape, is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts.
Managed by Yorkshire Water, it offers well-maintained paths for walking, running, cycling, and horse riding. The reservoir is surrounded by beautiful woodlands, providing scenic views and a tranquil environment.
Facilities include accessible toilets and parking at Swinsty Moor and Blubberhouses car parks. Fishing is also available at the Washburn Valley Fishery. Fewston Reservoir is easily accessible by car and public transport, making it a convenient spot for a day out.

Parking
You can park at the Swinsty Moor car park (LS21 2NP) at the southern end of the Fewston Reservoir Embankment. Please note that there is a 2.2m height barrier. Alternative parking is available at Blubberhouses car park (LS21 2NY) where there is a 2.1m height barrier across the entrance to the car park.
Dog Walking
Please be a responsible dog owner. Keep your dog on a lead at all times, especially around livestock and on the moor, where there are ground nesting birds. From March to July, use a short lead. Remember to clean up after your dog.
Accessibility Information
Paths around the reservoir are made from compacted, crushed stone. The route is generally undulating with occasional short, steep sections.
