The Nidderdale National Landscape Management Plan is a strategic framework designed to protect and enhance the unique qualities of our area. Our current Plan covers the period from 2025 to 2030. This high-level strategy outlines our goals and actions to address key issues such as climate change, landscape protection, sustainable development, and community engagement.
Our plan focuses on:
Combating climate change
Supporting the farming industry and rural economy
Promoting sustainable development
Managing natural and cultural resources
Encouraging people to enjoy and appreciate this beautiful area
We developed this plan in consultation with local residents, interest groups, Natural England, the Environment Agency, and other stakeholders. It represents a collaborative effort to ensure the long-term sustainability and enjoyment of Nidderdale National Landscape.
